Fitell Corporation (NASDAQ: FTEL), an Australia-based company positioning itself as the country’s first Solana-focused treasury, has announced the purchase of 216.8 million Pump.fun (PUMP) tokens.

The transaction, worth approximately $1.5 million, was completed on October 1, 2025, and marks Fitell’s first direct allocation of PUMP to its corporate reserves.

Expanding into the Solana ecosystem

The purchase reflects Fitell’s ongoing strategy to expand its footprint within Solana’s ecosystem. PUMP is the native token of Pump.fun, a Solana-based launchpad that has become known for enabling rapid creation and trading of meme coins.

Chief Executive Officer Sam Lu emphasized the firm’s proactive approach in a press release, stating:

“We again moved promptly from decision to execution. We are deepening our participation in Solana’s growth story, while diversifying our digital asset treasury to position us to capture long-term growth opportunities for our stakeholders.”

This marks Fitell’s first step into direct exposure to PUMP, though the company has previously indicated that its treasury strategy would evolve to include a range of Solana-native assets.

Broader treasury strategy and market context

Fitell’s move comes as more publicly listed firms begin experimenting with holding digital assets on their balance sheets, a trend popularized by companies such as MicroStrategy with Bitcoin.

Unlike those larger-scale Bitcoin plays, Fitell is targeting tokens that represent activity within specific ecosystems, starting with Solana.

The decision also highlights the growing influence of Pump.fun within Solana, where meme coins and experimental assets have played a key role in attracting retail traders and on-chain liquidity.
