How To Get To Token2049, KBW Using Only Crypto

Alright, it’s everyone's favorite time of the year. Crypto conference time. A time when every major conference always seems to come with its own little dose of market chaos.

Just around the corner, we have two of the biggest crypto conferences out there, Korea Blockchain Week [KBW] 2026 in Seoul from September 29 to October 1, and Token2049 in Singapore on October 7-8, 2026.

So let’s not worry about dumping tokens, rebalancing portfolios, and off-ramping our precious internet money. Today, we’re going to run you through getting from your comfy chair at home all the way to the Walkerhill Hotels and Resorts in Seoul and the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore without off-ramping your crypto

Let’s get into it.

The setup

There’s nothing new for most people here.

You simply continue to maintain your classic hot wallet plus cold wallet setup. Keep a majority of your funds in a cold wallet and only what you need in a hot wallet, ideally using a separate laptop with nothing on it, used only for crypto.

The only thing you need to add to this setup is a crypto card through which you can spend your stablecoins without off-ramping.

We’d recommend Plasma One, but there are plenty of great options out there.

Heading to KBW, TOKEN2049, or a well-deserved holiday?

Flights, hotels, taxis, dinners, coffees, the spending adds up quickly.

Instead of off-ramping crypto to your bank before the trip, deposit directly into Plasma One from supported chains and spend from there.

And if you’re going to spend thousands traveling anyway, you might as well earn while doing it.

Load up Plasma One before you fly and make it your card for the week.

The flights

Now that you’re familiar with the setup, it’s time to get spending, and with flights, you actually have a couple of routes you can take.

  1. Gift cards

There’s a whole host of crypto gift card services out there that are great for purchasing gift cards for anything from clothing to gaming.

Some of the top sites include Bitrefill, Cryptorefills, Coingate, Coinsbee, and many more.

On these websites, they also offer travel gift cards. These can be gift cards that can be redeemed directly on the airline's website or through flight aggregator platforms like MakeMyTrip.

You can directly pay through your hot wallet with a simple transfer, and these platforms often accept a large variety of coins like BTC, ETH, SOL, ZEC, XRP, LTC, stablecoins, and much more.

  • Pick your gift card
  • Copy/paste the address into your wallet’s “send” interface
  • Input the amount
  • Confirm the transaction
  • Receive and redeem your gift card

Et voilà, you’re good to go!

  1. Crypto travel websites

Another option is to support crypto travel websites.

There are options like Travala, TravelSwap, Alternative Airlines, Travorio, and many others.

These platforms allow you to book flights directly with crypto in a similar manner to how you interact with any other crypto app, like a DEX or some other DeFi protocol.

Select your option, connect your wallet, confirm the transaction, and boom, you’re all done.

But there’s more.

With the recent rise in crypto acceptance across the world, we’re starting to see major companies directly accept crypto.

Emirates has already pioneered this move in the airline industry, and now accepts crypto directly through its platform. So that’s always an option.

Plasma One also offers 10% cashback on flights with eligible airlines (alongside Emirates, you’ve Singapore, Cathay, Qatar, Delta, and others), so you might as well check that out.

  1. Crypto card

A common issue with gift cards or crypto travel websites is that you might end up spending more than you’d want to.

Some traditional booking options are often cheaper, and the easiest way to use them is with a simple card. Any platform that accepts Visa or Mastercard, which is basically all of them, will accept your card.

So here’s how it goes:

  • Set up your crypto card account
  • Select the wallet address assigned to your card
  • Paste the address into your hot wallet and send the amount of money you intend to spend
  • Once your card is topped up, you’re ready to spend

From here, just go to the platform of your choice, choose your booking, input your card details, and confirm the payment.

Here’s the added benefit. Crypto cards always give you cashback on transactions, typically between 3%-5%. However, if you use Plasma One, you can get up to 10% cashback specifically on travel spending.

The hotels

The process for using crypto to book hotels is pretty much identical to flights. You have the same three options.

  • Gift cards are often available for major hotel chains, or you can go through the aggregator website route
  • The crypto travel website offers both flight and hotel options, which you can pay for directly with crypto
  • The crypto card option is like using any other bank card: pick your hotel from any platform and confirm the payment, just that simple

If the market's been treating you well and you're swimming in cash, then we’d recommend staying at Marina Bay Sands itself; the conference is right there. But there are also other great options like The Conrad, Pan Pacific, and PARKROYAL.

If you're doing as bad as I am in the market, then you have more budget-friendly options like The Quay.

Happy hunting.

Conference tickets

If you’re not fortunate enough to have your conference tickets sponsored by a company, then you need to buy them.

That’s simple.

Go to the Token2049/KBW website and select the “Get Tickets” option on the top right corner of the website.

You’ll have two options:

  • You can pay with crypto directly through your hot wallet (applicable only for Token2049; for KBW, however, crypto payments aren’t currently supported on the official website)
  • You can pay with a card. A bank card is an option, but if you have a crypto card, why bother with off-ramping?

Make your payment, and now you’re all set to attend Token2049/KBW.

On-the-ground spending

Singapore/Seoul are among the nicest places in the world. Great restaurants, great bars, great street food, fun nightlife, and of course, some great casinos to gamble at.

This is where your crypto card becomes essential. If you want to actually spend on the ground, a crypto card is necessary

After a long, hard day of meetings, you go for a couple of pints with your team, simply swipe your card to pay with crypto. Craving that delicious pork belly and rice from a hawker store? Simply go to an ATM and withdraw some local currency to spend.

Need to travel around the city, be it through local cabs or Uber, your card will be a necessity for both.

Even if you want to gamble, in case crypto wasn't enough, just withdraw cash through your card and go to the casino; throw some cash on red for me, you won’t regret it.

The best part about all of this is that you get cashback. Whether it’s 3%, 5%, or sometimes even more with a product like Plasma One, you have the ability to spend crypto without off-ramping and, at the same time, get a pretty good amount in cashback for doing so.

That’s the clearest win-win I’ve ever seen.

Concluding thoughts

These are just two examples. We have a host of other conferences lined up towards the end of the year.

With the markets finally starting to look good again, don’t bother with off-ramping. Earn with crypto and spend with crypto, it’s simply better.

There comes a point in all our lives when we realize that our wallets are basically several badly managed bank accounts.

Money comes in, money goes out, and somehow there’s always a random $47 sitting somewhere doing absolutely nothing.

So I’m thinking, why not automate the leftovers?

Scan the active trading wallets, find the excess USDC, sweep it into Plasma One, and let it pay for subscriptions while fetching you cashbacks on them.
