Not Financial Advice: Crypto Twitter Told Him to ‘Hang Himself’ and It Actually Worked

And then came the jokes: “This is the first time someone on Crypto Twitter said ‘hang yourself’ and it actually saved a life.”

Crypto Twitter (Sorry Elon, Crypto X just doesn’t stick) has built a reputation for market calls, memes, and the occasional chaos. But sometimes it’s worth taking a pause and realizing that behind the charts and anon avatars are actually real people… human beings, helping each other out in unexpected ways.

Case in point: one user recently found relief from months of debilitating nerve pain thanks to a simple, almost comically blunt piece of advice from another member of the community.

A pinched nerve, months of pain, and one Random reply

It started with a post by @danielgothits (DGH), who shared that he had been suffering from a pinched nerve in his glute for half a year.

He had tried everything, physical therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic sessions, even a steady diet of ibuprofen, yet nothing brought relief.

“Some days I could barely walk,” he wrote, adding that the pain had left him frustrated and depressed.

Enter @DEGEN_V2, another Crypto Twitter regular. Instead of recommending a new doctor, supplement, or pricey gadget, they offered a surprisingly simple tip: “Just hang from a pull-up bar for 30 seconds.”

Skeptical but desperate, DGH tried it. To his amazement, he says his spine “unlocked” and the pain vanished almost instantly.

The interaction quickly went sort of mini-viral, with screenshots racking up thousands of likes and shares. Other users chimed in, some sharing similar stories of back or nerve pain relieved by decompression hangs.

And then came the jokes: “This is the first time someone on Crypto Twitter said ‘hang yourself’ and it actually saved a life.”

More than memes and market talk

While the humor is classic CT, the story also highlights something bigger. Communities built around trading and speculation often end up being about much more than markets.

Behind anonymous handles are people sharing struggles, offering tips, and sometimes even changing someone’s life with a 280-character suggestion.

For DGH, the relief was immediate. “Thanks so much bro,” he replied to @DEGEN_V2. “I owe you a beer for real. (....) I can’t believe how much better I feel in a single day this shit is insane.”

It’s a reminder that while Crypto Twitter is often loud, chaotic, and meme-driven, it can also be unexpectedly human.

In essence, sometimes, in between the charts and coin shills, it’s just one person helping another get through the day, even if the advice sounds like a punchline.
